What is MuseMuggers?
This is a community for writers.
It was created to help writers break writers block, but it is also useful as a warm up exercise, or to help you generate short stories for possible publication.
What we do is take a single idea, which everyone uses. You can see how it works by looking at musemuggers public examples. We all post our stories, and enjoy the variety of responses. No two stories are alike (or even close!)
You can either join MuseMuggers on Livejournal, or you can play along at home. You can still utilize the prompts, even if you are not part of the core MuseMugger community.
Edit: If the posted idea sparks an idea, that doesn't reflect the original generated idea, go with the story it sparks. It isn't a requirement to stick to the challenge word for word. If there is a PART of the challenge you can't work in, that's okay too.
Have FUN with it. There's no stress here, it doesn't have to be publishable quality, it doesn't have to be perfect…it's to help you enjoy your writing again.
