Yes, there is a part two to challenge #40 :)
Eternal Night is holding a contest. I can't find the 'submittal' page now, I did take a copy from where ever it was it was found. (probably Ralan's)
We are holding a flash fiction contest. There are two categories, science fiction and fantasy/dark fantasy.
Basic rules are - write a story of no more than 500 words (no less then 400) on any subject as long as it is either a science fiction or fantasy tale. Then send it in before June 30th 2004 to the usual email address (methos@eternalnight.co.uk) and please include the words "Flash Fiction Contest" in the subject and indicate whether this is to be considered as a science fiction or fantasy tale.
All stories are to be PG-13 in rating (please no overly adult content).
First prize in either category will be a signed copy of Steven Manchester's novel Jacob Evans and $15 (USD). In each category there will be two runners-up, each of which will receive $15 (USD). All stories will then appear in a future issue of the Eternal Night Chronicle.
It is not a requirement to partisipate in this part of the challenge. But the contest is free -- what have you got to lose? NOTHING! Before you send your story, do two things. Look at your story criticily, and do a good edit on it. Check it also to make sure you *cough* followed the prompt enough that it still qualifies :)
I wish all of you the best of luck :)
