NaNoWriMo
This is my third year to attempt NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month.
On November 1st, the madness starts. Write 50,000 words in one month. I was not the only person to take up the challenge -- thousands have -- and that number grows every year.
In 2002 I completed Yarrow, A psychic murder mystery. In 2003 I wrote Everyman's Journey, A dark comedy.
In 2004 I am returning to the world of my 2002 novel, Yarrow, but with (of course) new adventures, thrill, chills and horror. Yes, thats right. It's in a circus. It's called Pretty Ponies.
Thank you for your interest.
On November 27, 2003, I and five other Wrimo's had an interview with BBC Radio 4 about our Nano's.
Thanks to Electron Jam for her beyond the call of duty work
in transcribing the interview.
Everyman's Journey has been sold. You can find it in Al Farooq magazine. It will be simultaneously posted here, on Feath's Bookcase.
At the pleading of Detective Whitechapel, psychic Charity Hornblower has come out of seclusion to stop a killer.
What is on the other side of 'forever and a day'? When all the Sons of Adam will rise, and all the shades of each creature ever born; when demons rub shoulders with dinosaurs and Jinns mingle freely once more? What happens when Sol extinguishes its light, and Luna crumbles to dust? What happens when the earth is shaken out like an industrious housewife's sheet?
